Maia's Story

Update: Three of these baby girls seem to have remained bonded: Athena, Gaia & Maia. They were recently spayed, so hormones are still settling, though it's a good sign that there's been no major falling out amongst them. This means all three may be adopted together as a Bonded Trio (aka mini Fluffle!) Though it may also be possible that two might become more of a bonded pair and one might bond with another bunny.

7 adorable baby bunnies were born at the rescue overnight 6/6-7/25, shortly after Spritz was rescued from being dumped outside. Spritz is a bunderful momma and has taken excellent care of all her kits. Thankfully, they were not born outside and will only know safety and kindness.

Kits have been named! We will also post each bun. Boys: Apollo, Odin, Zeus. Girls: Selena, Athena, Maia, Gaia.

Bunnies must be spayed/neutered, once they are old enough. Update 1: Spritz and all the baby boys have been neutered. Update 2: Girls' spayed 12/16/25.

***We are accepting Applications!*** Once approved, you may schedule an appointment to meet the babies. Baby bunnies will be adopted in pairs (or Trio!), (Selena with Spritz), or to bond with your current bunny. Proper bonding process to be followed for a true bond that lasts.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus. First vaccines are a series of two, three weeks apart.

Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. Visit rabbit.org and houserabbit.org for accurate, up-to-date bunny information. We are happy to offer information and guidance to help you decide whether house bunnies are right for you and your household. We are also happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption. We offer ongoing support and encourage ongoing learning to ensure that you and your bunnies thrive together.

Please find a place in your heart and home for unwanted, discarded rescue animals. Thank you for adopting, not shopping!
