Linus's Story

Linus is a bit of an exception to our normal intake policies. He was at an animal auction, slated to be sold as a 'meat rabbit'. A young girl went with her dad to purchase some chickens to keep for eggs.

She saw Linus and begged her dad to bid on him to save him. She said there was something special about him. She couldn't save all the bunnies that day. But she did save Linus.

We do not normally take in bunnies that people have purchased since we simply don't have the space available for them all, but his story touched our hearts.

Linus is a precious soul who wants a chance to prove that he can be a valued member of a family. He is a bit shy, and who wouldn't be, having come through an experience like that. But he has love in his heart to share with someone who wants a bunny to love. He does love snuggles and pets once he gets to know you.

Right now, Linus is a little unsure of dogs but that could change.

Currently in foster care in Greenville but we can make arrangements for him to be seen in the Laurens or Columbia areas for approved adopters as needed.
