Labubu's Story

Labubu is an older female spayed English angora that was rescued from a condemned hoarding house in November 2025. She had over 1lb of matting pulling at her skin, causing horrible wounds. Unfortunately it seemed like Labubu never had any positive interaction with people before. She was absolutely terrified when she came into us. However after a month of time and TLC she has settled in and is doing so much better. Labubu is an older girl and suffered some pretty severe injuries to her feet as a result of her poor care. We are working to manage those wounds with our vet. We have tried putting special socks on her, but she would prefer to go barefoot. She is now litter box trained and learning how to be a proper house rabbit. She was great for her initial grooming and I don’t anticipate she will be any trouble for future spa days.

Labubu is a senior girl, we are not exactly sure how old she is. Considering the condition she came in to us in she may be between 5-7 years old. She is a bigger girl and has finally put enough weight on to be ready for adoption. She was spayed recently with no complications.

We think she may do well bonding with a more confident rabbit that can keep her company and also show her that people are not so scary.

The rescue is happy to help with any grooming in the future.
