Jude's Story

Meet Jude, an approximately two-year-old little guy with a big heart and an incredibly sweet spirit. This handsome boy has already overcome so much in his young life, and through it all, he has remained one of the happiest, sweetest bunnies you could hope to meet.

Jude originally came into rescue after being found abandoned outside in the cold. By the time he was rescued, he had developed some health issues, including an old bite wound on his nose and upper left lip. He was treated for both Coccidia and syphilis and successfully recovered from both. Despite such a difficult beginning, Jude's journey toward a healthier, happier life was just getting started.

Jude also had some heart abnormalities that veterinarians believed could be congenital or related to his previous syphilis infection. Because of this, his neuter required extra precautions, including careful sedation, monitoring, and an echocardiogram. Thankfully, he came through with flying colors! At a follow-up evaluation a few months later, his veterinarian found that his neurological status and heart rate were okay and did not feel additional diagnostic workup was necessary. His progress has been encouraging, and the love and care he has received in rescue have helped him along the way.

But here's what we really want you to know about Jude: despite everything he has experienced, he is the sweetest, happiest little guy. His past hasn't taken away his ability to enjoy life, and he has so much love to give. He is a wonderful reminder of just how resilient these little animals can be when someone gives them the chance they deserve.

Now Jude is ready for his next chapter! He is looking for a loving family who will appreciate what a special boy he is and continue giving him the safe, happy life he deserves. Because of his medical history, potential adopters should discuss his past care and any recommended monitoring with our team. Jude has already come so far, and we can't wait to see him find a family to love him for the rest of his days.

If you have read our Adoption Policy and are interested in adopting Jude, please complete and submit the online Adoption Application.
