Hawthorn's Story

Hawthorn came to us from a hoarding case, so it’s no surprise that he was a little reserved when he first arrived. With time, patience, and kindness, he’s truly blossomed.

Today, Hawthorn is calm, gentle, and wonderfully unfazed by everyday life. He’s perfectly content sitting with a toddler—even when his head is being “decorated” with hay! He enjoys exploring his surroundings and will happily investigate new spaces, but he does so thoughtfully rather than with reckless abandon. He’s not much of a jumper, making him an easygoing companion in the home.

Hawthorn has a soft spot for snacks and will readily come over to see if you’ve brought him a treat. His quiet confidence, sweet demeanor, and steady curiosity make him a delightful presence.

If you’re looking for a bunny who has overcome a tough start and grown into a gentle, trusting companion, Hawthorn may be the perfect match for you.

Rescued October 2025
Estimated age upon rescue: 2-3 years
