Harvey & Minerva's Story
Meet Harvey, a handsome harlequin boy, and Minerva, with her rich Otter pattern coat. Harvey was found under a car in Utica, near a busy road. He came in to foster, was neutered, and then adopted. He is a stoic fellow, watching what is happening with a calm that says 'old soul'. He will do his hopping around and check things out, then get comfortable and seem to disappear into his thoughts. He gets excited about his greens - he likes a variety - and treats, because who doesn't like a good banana piece here and there? Harvey is about 5 1/2 pounds.

Harvey was introduced to Minerva at the adopter's home. She came in from a park in the Southern Tier with 3 other rabbits. She was pregnant and gave birth at the home of her finders. She weaned her babies and was spayed, and adopted. She and Harvey were a match not long after introduction and have been inseparable. Minerva is about 4 1/2 pounds and enjoys anything she can share with Harvey. She seems to understand him, and will patiently sit with him.

Their adopter became unable to care for the pair due to medical issues, so they have been returned to foster care.

Because they are bonded, they must be adopted together. Both rabbits can be gently handled, but trust will be slowly earned. They would do best in a home with a calm, quiet routine, with experienced owners.

If you are interested in adopting Harvey & Minerva, please click on the "Adoption Application" link on our PetFinder Homepage https://www.petfinder.com/member/us/ny/washington-mills/nys-chapter-of-the-hrs-the-rabbit-resource-ny201/
