Guthrie's Story

CHECK YOUR SPAM/JUNK FOLDER IF DON'T RECEIVE A REPLY TO AN INQUIRY

INDOOR ONLY HOMES

Guthrie is an adorable dutch bunny ready for the next chapter in his life! He was one of ten rabbits rescued from a Fullerton school yard in Orange County. Sometime in 2024 someone released two bunnies in the school vegetable garden and of course you know what happens when unfixed rabbits are left to their own devices--babies!

Guthrie is quite the poser and can't take a bad picture! Model material I do believe!

Upon nestling him in your arms he will immediately begin tooth purring (like cat purring ) which means he's happy and content.

He's a gentle, easy-going bun who is always front and center of his bunny bungalow hoping for a treat, attention or just a kind word acknowledging his presence.

He has the classic friendly disposition of a Dutch bunny and that is why they are so desirable. He gives nose nudges and enjoys climbing on your lap or simply hanging out with you.

He already has good litter box habits and is a sucker for pellets and veggies.

He was rescued on April 10, 2025. He was neutered on April 28, 2025.. His estimated date of birth is December 2024. He currently weighs 3.43 pounds.

You can't go wrong with this charming boy bun.

Guthrie should start out living in an exercise pen (x-pen) otherwise known as a puppy pen. He can have that as his home base or transition to a room or a section of a room or free roaming. A cage/hutch is not recommended unless the door is open and an x-pen can be placed around it.

Please be over 21 if inquiring about a rabbit.

Guthrie can be seen by appointment in Lake Elsinore after a questionnaire is completed or a phone consultation conducted. On adoption day, plan to spend approximately one hour at the rescue going over paperwork and general rabbit care information.

PLEASE consult with the rescue before you purchase rabbit supplies so you can be directed to the least expensive and most appropriate rabbit essentials, especially if you’ve never had the pleasure of owning a rabbit! Your local big chain pet store is probably NOT the best place to buy rabbit supplies!

If you have a spayed/neutered single bun searching for a friend, there are plenty of rescue rabbits here available for my signature rapid romance bunny bonding. Male/female bondings are usually recommended.
