Fable's Story

Fable and several others (including Siren) were trapped on a schoolyard in Baldwin long island. If you're on TikTok you can view their page @meadowbunnies. They were living on the streets, getting picked off by hawks and hit by cars. We took four of these bunnies and we have two left for adoption: Siren and Fable. They are both very shy but also very grateful to be here, safe and alive. Spayed, dewormed, vet checked, and ready to roll... ReHeart Rescue, Inc.'s Adoption Policy

We require an adoption fee of $100 per rabbit and guinea pig. Cats are on a case by case basis. We also require a signed adoption contract with the understanding that the animal is to be returned to us if no longer wanted. The prospective adopter will need to have a phone interview with us and provide a veterinary reference if possible, plus one to two personal references. Lastly we require a home visit, which may sometimes be completed virtually, to check the habitat set up.
