Elora's Story
We're not sure if Elora is actually a real creature. She's about 4lbs of fluff and sassy sweetness, and technically she's a Teddywidder rabbit. She's a designer mutt rabbit bred for long fur and a smushed, adorable face. While she is softer than a cloud and cute as can be, she gave us a really hard time at the start, going into respiratory arrest the first 3 times anyone tried to spay her; our amazing vet succeeded on the fourth try! She IS the drama, and this high maintenance queen absolutely requires a rabbit-experienced home for adoption. Despite her queenly demeanor, she adores being pet and pampered. She also likes getting up to occasional mischief, like digging in her feline foster sibling's litter box. We don't get it either, but we're just here to serve Elora.

Because of her luxury, designer fur, Elora requires daily brushing and she will also need occasional shaving for matted fur. She will need a slatted bottom, low-entry litter box with a hanging hay bag to facilitate the least hay getting caught in her fur possible, although she's bound to track some with her regardless.

**OF NOTE** We do not, nor have we ever, reserved rabbits. Expressing interest and/or filling out an adoption application is not a guarantee that your application will be approved, nor that you will be matched with the specific rabbit in whom you expressed interest. We do our best to match the correct bunny to the right adoptive home so that they will indeed be a forever home.

Our adoption fee is $150 for unvaccinated rabbits and $225 for rabbits that are vaccinated against RHDV2 and microchipped. These fees help cover the cost of general care, veterinary exams, vaccination, microchipping, and spay/neuter surgery performed by a rabbit-trained exotic animal veterinarian.

We primarily adopt to residents of Connecticut, and on a case by case basis, to approved adopters in Massachusetts and New York.

All rabbits are spayed or neutered prior to adoption to ensure their health and wellbeing.

If you are interested in adopting Elora, please fill out an application on our website at https://www.everybunnycountsct.org/adoption/. Please give our volunteer team up to 10 days to reply to your application. We may reach out by phone or email. Thank you!
