Eddie van Hoplin's Story
Hi, I’m Eddie Van Hopplin!

I recently came back to rescue after having been returned by my family 4 years after they adopted me.

I came back broken. I was overweight and mourning the loss of not only my mate, but my family. They felt they no longer had the time to commit to me. I was scared, I was angry. The first couple of weeks, I bit my foster mom and my foster sister. I didn’t trust anyone and wouldn’t leave my hide if anyone was near.

But slowly, after some patient care and lots of love from my foster family, I began to trust again.

My foster mom says I make her laugh, and I think I believe her because she does seem to laugh a lot around me. Every morning, I hear her come downstairs. She takes wayyy too much time for me. As I wait for her, I let her know I’m here by rattling my overnight pen. I get so excited when I see her setting up the space for me to roam out. Open the pen!!! I stand up to show her my beautiful white fluffy belly, hoping she’ll hurry up. I hop and binky around her feet, eagerly awaiting pets and my morning snack. I don’t bite anymore; I prefer to give her little nose taps to let her know I’m here.

I almost forgot to tell you! I only have one eye. I keep forgetting because it doesn’t stop me, and my foster mom keeps telling me that she forgets all about it too. She does whisper to me as I sit next to her that I’m the sweetest bunny she’s ever seen, and she hopes that, more than any other bunny, I can find a loving home again. I like hearing that. I would really like to find a true forever home, and I really think I’d like a bunny friend again. My foster mom tells me that it’s her Valentine’s wish for me. ❤️

——

Eddie is a 6-year-old neutered male bunny.

His adoption fee is $40

If you are interested in meeting Eddie, please fill out the adoption application on our website:

www.popcornsandbinkies.org
