Dove's Story
Born in August 2021, Dove spent the first years of her life in two different laboratories.

In her first lab, she was part of an eye study as a control rabbit, receiving only saline — spared from the harsher parts of the research, but not from witnessing what happened to others around her. She was later transferred to another facility, where she spent several years as a teaching rabbit, used for anesthesia practice, IV catheterization, and various injection techniques.

When her time in the lab ended, Dove was considered overweight and no longer “needed.” With euthanasia on the horizon, we were contacted to help — and we’re so glad we could say yes.

Since arriving, Dove has blossomed quickly. She’s enjoying her morning salads, stretching out in the sunshine, and exploring her new tunnels with curiosity and confidence. Her gentle nature and quiet resilience are already winning hearts.

Though her start in life was difficult, Dove’s future will be everything it should be — safe, peaceful, and full of love. We’re honored to give this little Dove the soft landing she’s always deserved.
