Dorothy & Minerva (bonded pair)'s Story

Dorothy (black) and Minerva (agouti) were trapped as strays. The person who reported them to us stated that they had been living outside for two years and then their owner moved away, leaving them behind to fend for themselves.

These two spayed and vaccinated females are always together. They are curious, agile, smart, and don't mind causing a bit of mischief. They like playing with toys and snuggling together.

Dorothy was named after the female Houdini, and Minerva was named after the American Queen of Mystery. They will do best in a home that lets them free roam without a pen, but if you do use a pen make sure it is 4' tall and that they have at least 48 sq ft.

Dorothy and Minerva are guaranteed to make you smile with their cuteness. They absolutely LOVE hay and get extra excited for breakfast (pellets) and dinner (salad). They can be hesitant around humans (who can blame them) but they are not shy and like to watch you. They have settled into the indoor-rabbit lifestyle nicely.

They must be adopted together and never separated, even when going to the vet. Their adoption fee is $150. If you would like to provide them a forever home, please submit an application at bit.ly/NMHRSadoptionapp
