Dora's Story

Hello there! I’m Dora, a sassy New Zealand bunny with a flair for the dramatic and a heart full of adventure. I’ve got a curious eye on everything around me—nothing escapes my watchful gaze! If something seems a little off, you might hear a quick thump from me. Hey, someone’s got to keep things in check, right?

When I’m not busy being the room’s self-appointed guardian, you can find me zipping around showing off my acrobatic bunny moves. Whether I’m racing through tunnels, hopping under furniture, or just having a little zoom session, I love the freedom to explore and express my playful side. But don’t worry, I know how to relax, too! My favorite way to unwind is flopping down and enjoying a quiet moment with my favorite people—sometimes with a bit of TV to keep me entertained.

My dream evening? A cozy spot with my family, a big bowl of fresh salad (yum!), and plenty of cuddles in between my adventures. I’m always up for fun, but I also know how to enjoy a peaceful, loving moment. With my adventurous spirit and loving heart, I’m looking for a home where I can keep being the curious and playful bunny I am.

If you’re ready for a bunny with a big personality, a love for fun, and a gentle spirit to match, I might just be your perfect match. Let’s make some unforgettable memories together!

If you think I sound interesting, send an email to MCRS at --> info@mncompanionrabbit.org

You can complete an application at --> https://www.mncompanionrabbit.org/adoption-application

All MCRS rabbits are sterilized, microchipped, and vaccinated against RHDV2. Thank you for being interested in adopting a homeless rabbit!

Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society's Adoption Policy
Rabbits available through the Minnesota Companion Rabbit Society are all homeless rabbits taken in through partnerships with local animal shelters and animal control facilities. The rabbits have been examined by veterinarians, are sterilized and are currently cared for by private foster homes. The goal of the MCRS adoption program is to match these rabbits with families like yours to best accommodate the needs and interest of both. The MCRS adoption process includes an application, a phone interview, and a meeting with the rabbit(s) you are interested in. The adoption fee for a single rabbit is $100 (plus tax), and a bonded pair fee is $165 (plus tax). This fee is nonrefundable because adoption fees help to cover costs involved in caring for a rabbit prior to his/her adoption. Each rabbit receives RHDV2 vaccinations and spay/neuter surgery. In addition to daily care, foster rabbits benefit from socialization and litter-box training during their stay with MCRS. We are located in the Twin Cities metro area in Minnesota. We do not ship rabbits and must meet all adopters in person. If you are interested in adopting a rabbit, please email us to receive an application and other rabbit adoption and care materials. Thank you for your interest in adopting a homeless rabbit!
