Darla's Story

Hi, I’m Darla! I’m a 1-year-old Silver Blue girl, volunteer favorite, and firm believer that anything within chinning distance legally belongs to me. Every playtime begins with the same important task: finding my favorite ball and rubbing my chin over every possible inch of it for several minutes. Once I’m satisfied that there can be absolutely NO confusion about whose ball it is, I move on to claiming everything else - toys, the pen, random objects... you get the idea. Only after my daily property inspection is complete can I move on to phase two: some of the wildest, funniest zoomies you’ve ever seen.

Once I’ve gotten all that spunky energy out, I’m a total sweetheart who loves settling down and relaxing into some pets. I’m also not afraid to let you know when I’d like your attention - I may come over for a gentle nibble or give your clothes a little tug just to make sure you haven’t forgotten about me. Between my hilarious antics, loving personality, and talent for keeping our volunteers entertained, it’s not hard to see why I’ve become such a favorite around here. If you’re looking for a bunny who will make you laugh, keep you on your toes, and then happily melt into some love, I might just be your girl!

For information on fees and adoption, please e-mail Lisa at lisab@caaronline.org. This rabbit adoption is done by appointment only and in East Mesa (not SanTan Valley)
