Dahlia's Story

Dahlia came to Rabbit Rescue from a shelter in Quebec after she was placed on a euthanasia list due to overcrowding.

Shortly after arriving into foster care, Dahlia started showing concerning symptoms, and was taken to the vet for an assessment. The vet found a series of abscesses and since then she has had multiple surgeries and procedures. Despite all of the treatments, medications, flushings etc, Dahlia has remained a rabbit with a friendly - even somewhat sassy! - personality. Dahlia has finished her treatments and is now a happy, healthy rabbit.

She loves her flop bed and some pats and enjoys having time to free roam and explore. Her favourite greens are parsley and green leaf lettuce.

Dahlia is still learning how to be affectionate, but she is one playful bun! She will binky up a storm, especially if she hears a bag rustling or the sound of tapping on cardboard. She loves to run free and binky while jumping off and on the couch. Her ball is also a favourite, tossing it around with her endless energy.

Dahlia has perfect litter box skills and never has any accidents. She does well when free roaming, but likes to have a quiet home base to return to when she needs a break and a nap.

Dahlia is a big bun with a big personality. She would make a wonderful companion to an adult only home or a home with older children that are mindful of noise and Dahlia's boundaries.

If she sounds like the rabbit for you, apply to adopt her today!
