Colt's Story

Colt is a sensitive soul trying to find his way in the world.

At only about 10-11 months of age as of July 2026, Colt is still a young bun. We arent too sure what his life was like prior to ending up at the open admission shelter from which we transferred him. From his cautious, anxious demeanor, it seems that his early days did not set him up for self-confidence or trusting humans...but we are working to change that.

A dark grey and white Dutch mix, Colt is a dapper gent who naturally wins the title of Best Dressed wherever he goes. When he thinks we arent looking, he has been known to binky and hop gleefully during his daily runtime.

While he has yet to take treats from our hands, Colt has already made strides from being the painfully shy guy we first met. In order to encourage our introverted little buddy, we named him after Ryan Goslings character in the movie The Fall Guy...a self-assured, charismatic protagonist for whom you cant help but cheer.

Because hes a nervous fellow who is easily frightened by loud noises and who still tends to be intimidated by most people, Colt is not a candidate for a home with children younger than 12 years of age. We will require that his forever family have past rabbit experience to set everyone, especially our boy Colt, up for success.

If you would be interested in adopting a rabbit from Luna's House, please take a moment to fill out an online application: https://www.lunashouse.org/php_email_form/formphp.html

Once we have received and approved your completed application, we can schedule a time for you to come meet with rabbits available for adoption to see with whom you have the best connection. Our adoption fee for a single rabbit is $75. This is a donation meant to help us cover part of the cost of caring for the animal you are adopting while (s)he is with us, including veterinary exam, spay or neuter surgery, deworming, RHDV2 vaccination, microchip, food, bedding, etc.

Colt has been vaccinated against RHDV2.
