Blue's Story

Our misunderstood friend, Blue, has been searching far and wide for his forever home. Is it you?

Blue was originally found all alone in Blue Hills - extremely hungry, skinny, and scared. Though he was found alone in the woods - his litter habits are actually quite good. He was adopted and returned within the year - through no fault of his own. And while Blue has come a long way - this adoption and return really shook his world. Thankfully, he went home with an excellent foster who has been working on his unique behaviors.

Blue is a biter, he will bite hard and draw blood over food & things he doesn't like. He should not go to a home with children, and needs someone willing to work with him with steady consistent commands -- if you make him follow rules, he does very well but you certainly can't treat him like every other bunny. He knows comments like "Box" (meaning to get in the box), "4 on the floor" to keep all 4 feet on the floor as he Periscopes and bite your hand for food. He knows "wait" which is to stay where he is in the box, and he knows "ok good boy" which means he's released from his wait.

All of this reactivity comes from his past trauma - but that doesn't mean Blue doesn't deserve a good home! If you're interested in a bunny that will be a lesson in trust, love, and discipline - Blue is your boy. He gives back to you everything you give to him. He needs someone who is willing to work with him and love him. Is it you?
