Blitzen's Story

Blitzen & Minerva are now fully bonded and must be adopted together. They need plenty of space to enjoy in their new FURever home. During their bonding process, they spent time in a Foster home with cats and dogs who did well with them.

Blitzen found his way to Blue Chip at Christmas time, after being abandoned outside with chickens when his owner moved away. Thankfully, a concerned neighbor stepped up and rescued them all from starvation, the elements and predators.

Blitzen has the appearance of a Flemish Giant, though is not quite as big. He could be young. He could be a mix. No matter what breed he is, he is incredibly handsome and sweet!

Blitzen was neutered on 1/6/26.

We are always working with the rabbits to help them find their true bond-bun. Would you consider an already bonded pair? We've done the hard part for you!

Fill out the application and, once approved, we'll schedule a Meet 'n' Greet to see if your household might be a bunderful match.

* Indoor Home Only *

Bunnies live an average of 8-10 years, but could live up to 16 or even longer! While they do enjoy gentle pets and head rubs, bunnies generally do not like to be picked up or held as they are prey animals and it can be very scary for them. They also need lots of space to move around, run, binky and play - so no small hutches nor cages. They are social animals who want to be with you and should be accepted as part of the family. They also thrive best in bonded pairs, especially during the hours you are otherwise occupied. They need vet visits just like a dog or cat and will require a yearly vaccination against RHDV2. This is a highly contagious and deadly virus.

Please do your research before adding any pet to your family. Visit houserabbit.org and rabbit.org for accurate, up-to-date bunny information. We are happy to answer any questions you may have before and after adoption, as well as assist in helping you decide whether bunnies are right for you. We offer ongoing support and encourage ongoing learning to ensure that you and your bunnies thrive.

Please find a place in your heart and home for unwanted, discarded rescue animals.
