Bert & Ernie's Story

Bert and Ernie came to us in 2023 after being found in a public park, they were adopted fairly quickly because they are so sweet. The boys had to come back to us after some changes in the home and Ernie suffered an injury that resulted in a back leg amputation.

The boys had to be separated during Ernie's healing and are in side by side xpens. We have tried to reintroduce the two but Bert can be a bit of a bully with the food. We're hopeful that in a home environment they might be able to live together again.

Ernie has no problem getting around in his enclosure but as he ages could develop some arthritis in his other back leg that is doing more work.
