Baxter's Story
AGE: ADULT

ADOPTION FEE: $250

# OF DAYS WAITING ADOPTION: 365+

Remember Charlie and Baxter?

Well they are officially bonded and it was love at first sight. We never thought Baxter aka Baz would be compatible with another bunny, but it turns out Charlie was his perfect match!

Sweet, shy Charlie and energetic, insistent Baz work perfectly together. Since bonding Baz is happy as a clam to have more interaction but is still his usual social self. He still seems to have "petting aggression" meaning with humans if you are not giving him the attention he wants he will nip to get your attention. Although, this seems like an undesirable character flaw... the opposite is actually true. Baz is so desperate for love that he is not afraid to tell you. He is improving and learning boundaries and is easily redirected to other things. We have discovered that he likes being held and craves "heavy pets." He melts into a chattering puddle and will sit with his foster mama for an hour.

We suspect Baz was one of the original buns from the hoard + neglect case and DID get a lot of attention until the multiplying started and then developed some very bad attention seeking habits. He is sweet at his core but definitely gives off the needy vibes. On the flip side he is so sweet with Charlie and exhibits none of the above behavior, he is patient and kind with her.

Charlie really needed a bonded mate, until she met Baz she was always hiding and scared of the world. She will never be as outgoing as her mate but has made leaps and bounds in the social department with Baz by her side. Charlie will sit with her foster mama for brief amounts of time and likes attention in small doses. She follows Baz around like a shadow until he starts his zoomies and then she politely excuses herself to higher ground. Charlie is a charming, beautiful girl and this duo is sure to steal your heart and smiles.

In the summer of 2023, Baxter was one of over 60 bunnies confiscated from a hoarding and neglect case. Despite their difficult past, these bunnies are now living in a world full of color, love, and hope for a forever home.

We only adopt to homes that will allow free roam and/or minimum exercise pen space of 60sq. No cages or outside living.

Interested in adopting?
