Meet Bandit

Bandit is looking for his family or person who cares about him and enjoys spending time with him. He is snuggly and cuddly.

Bandit is a one year old boy Dutch bunny who was purchased at a pet store notorious for selling dangerously young rabbits, by people who quickly got tired of having to feed and spend time with a pet. Once he grew out of babyhood, feeding him and letting him exercise became a burden to them. We did not feel this bunny was safe in his current situation, but he is safe now and we are looking for his loving forever home.

Bandit was not fed quality food, and came to us overweight, with some matted fur on his backside, as he was not able to properly clean himself while confined in a small cage, having been fed a diet of cheap pellets (the equivalent of eating cheeseburgers every day!). He is learning that he enjoys hay, and learning how to be a bunny. When bunnies are taken away from their mother too early, they often have a quirky personality and develop a very strong bond with their person. Keanu is looking for his person to bond with.

Bandit is a chocolate Dutch bunny is a large bunny, and is in the 5 lb range. This is very typical for this breed.
He is cuddly and friendly, and may benefit from a bunny friend. He would love a lot of attention in his new home. He is a sweet boy.

Bandit is in the process of being neutered and vaccinated against RHDV2. He is decent with his litterbox training.

Like many rescued bunnies, Keanu is appreciative of affection and attention. He would love a soothing, happy, calm person who can give lots of attention and love. A one year old is still a very young bunny, and Keanu would love to be in a space where he can run and play and be happy.

Rabbits can live up to 10-12 years with good care, and should be kept indoors. We would love to help you learn about bunny care if you are considering adoption. Foster-to-adopt is also an option.

Please submit an adoption or foster form (for foster-to-adoption option) on our website: www.huntsvillehouserabbits.com

Adoption fee for a single bunny is $100 or $150 for a bonded pair of bunnies and includes spay/neuter and RHDV2 vaccination.
