Astrid's Story
Update: Meet Astrid & Kiwi – The Perfect Pair!

These two sweethearts have grown up at our shelter and quickly became the best of friends. Astrid (1 year and 3 months) and Kiwi (11 months) adore each other and love spending their days snuggled up or exploring side by side.

We’re looking for a loving home where they can continue their adorable friendship together.

Bonus: Adopt this bonded pair and get 50% off the second adoption fee!

Come meet this dynamic duo and let them steal your heart. We would still consider finding them homes seperatly if it meant they got a home.

Astrid is a beautiful baby bun who was found all by herself in a residential neighbourhood. We're not sure where she came from, but she's safe now!

Astrid is a curious bun who likes to watch the humans when they come in to tidy up her room. She is a bit shy, but with patience and time, we're sure she'll blossom even more than she already has. Small animals are usually uncomfortable with fast movements and loud noises, so small children are likely not a fit, but older, well-matched kids could be okay. We'd love to see if we can find her a home with a friendly neutered male rabbit, but will consider solo-rabbit homes, too.

Astrid is just a baby so she cannot be spayed for a few more months. Therefore, we are open to a foster-to-adopt placement to ensure she doesn't have to stay in the shelter any longer than necessary. She is RHDV2 vaccinated, and will be microchipped and spayed prior to her adoption being finalized. Her adoption fee is $50 + tax.

Rabbits tend to have long stays in shelters; black rabbits even more. Please consider opening your heart and home to Astrid or one of our other rabbits. Feel free to email any questions to shelter@newwestcity.ca or through a Petfinder inquiry.

Otherwise, we look forward to receiving your application form! https://www.newwestcity.ca/database/files/library/NWAS_Small_Animal_Adoption_Application_2020.pdf
