Apple's Story

Hi everyone I wanted to introduce myself. My name is Apple and about 6 months ago I was seen and caught by a kind person who knew I was a domesticate bun and should not be alone and trying to fend for myself.

She caught me and contacted the local shelter who did not have space for me but they did call the rescue to see if we could assist. The same kind soul thought maybe they would keep me but we a few large dogs in the home plus a surprise that I was hiding that was not to be. What she did not know is I was pregnant and the first night in her home gave birth to 4 babies. My kids have now all found homes and I was recently spayed so no more babies for me. We do not know who the dad was and another rabbit was not seen in the area I was caught.

I am a gorgeous dark grey colored lop eared bun and after all I have been through I can be rather shy. I am not aggressive at all but do tend to hide as I am still unsure of humans. I was a wonderful mom and took great care of my babies though.

I am eating a proper diet of Oxbow Adult Timothy Pellets, lots of timothy hay and a big bowl of fresh water that is washed and changed daily. I absolutely love my timothy hay and I really enjoy my fresh daily salad of items like romaine, carrot tops and please never forget my treats. Banana slices, small chunks of carrots and even a few blueberries I will never turn down!!!

Would you be willing to open your home to a sweet but shy girl like me?
