Abigail's Story
Abigale came to us from West Virginia on August 1, 2025, and gave us quite a surprise-despite the shelter vet's assurance that she wasn't pregnant, she gave birth to eight babies the very next day! She proved to be an excellent and devoted mother and still lives with some of her children.

Now that her days of raising little ones are behind her, Abigale is ready for a new chapter. She's a bit shy when meeting new people, but with a little patience, she warms up and really enjoys gentle petting. While she'd be happy to be adopted with one of her children, we think she might truly thrive with a fresh start and a new rabbit companion to bond with.

Abigale is a sweet, quiet soul with a lot of love to give-she's just waiting for the right person (or bunny friend) to bring it out.

Abigale loves having a friend. She will need to be adopted with one of her babies or adopted as a friend for your rabbit.

The first step in our adoption process is to fill out our on-line adoption application at the following link. https://www.rabbitsinthehouse.org/adoption-application The application is not a commitment to adopt. It's just a place to start: to let us know you are interested, to give us some information to properly advise you, and to help us keep track of people who have contacted us about adoption. The questions are designed so that we have consistent information from each adopter. Sometimes just emailing back and forth or talking on the phone we might forget to ask something. The form has been a big help for us. You must be at least 18 to adopt from us.
