ADOPTED ON 06-11-16 - A beautiful litter of 6 boys and 3 girls, dumped on a desolate back road to fend for themselves, given slim chances of surviving, is rescued by one kindhearted young woman. We are so thankful there are those kinds of people. Sadly, there are just as many cold and callous humans who think it is OK to leave puppies to suffer and die. These babies were only 8 weeks old; gorgeous little Chocolate Lab/Flat coat Golden Retriever mixes; a breed many people pay so much money for. They are known for their gentle and loving dispositions, their sweet nature as family dogs, and their intelligence.

One sibling had already been hit by a car and the others probably faced the same fate soon. Happily, they are now in the care of a wonderful foster home where they are thriving. Cody is one of those pups. He loves wrestling and playing tug of war with his brothers and sisters. He is curious, sweet, playful and adventurous, much as any puppy would be. Now all he needs is a forever home where he can continue to be a happy and loyal member of the family.

This darling would be great for a family, his affectionate personality and puppy like charm will keep you continually entertained. If he had his choice, Cody would be in your lap giving you plenty of wet kisses. He will be a loyal companion and best friend to a very lucky person so if you desire a dog who will quickly become a part of your family, Cody is perfect.

We owe it to our dogs that the wonderful people who stand to be the last chapter of their rescue and the first chapter of their new forever lives deserve him. These dogs deserve all of our attention, and in Rescue Dog Village, we are committed to our adopters and our dogs equally. We offer full disclosure and hope to make the best matches possible. Please know our adoption fees never cover our expenses. We rely on the generosity of our adopters and supporters to help us help the dogs.

Our rescue is ONLY in the business of offering FULL DISCLOSURE to adopters, and expects and hopes to engage your questions and concerns fully. We owe it to the dogs we rescue and all the wonderful families/adopters who might consider welcoming our charges into their hearts and home. Our dogs are waiting for that ideal forever home where they will be cherished as deserving family members. It's sad these second chances are even necessary for these dogs, but we are committed to them and will devote the time and energy to their re-homing, and not just MOVE them to save more dogs. We diligently and responsibly seek good matches, as we don't want to re-home the dog again. These animals have already endured more than they should have, and through no fault of their own. It behooves us to be honest and forthright, and we appreciate the same in return from applicants.
