MY STORY: 7/12 7/12/16 Update. There’s something about Dolly! If you meet her, you love her but for some reason her adorableness isn’t translating online. She’s been with her foster family for three seasons now and has been a joy to have. She makes me laugh all the time with her goofy looks and joyfulness. She will look right at me and cock her head when I talk to her, like she’s really trying to understand my stories.
She comes with references: She’s a favorite of her two foster moms. Two dog sitters and a dog walker that know Dolly have said that they would adopt her if they could.
Dolly's short legs lead her foster mom to think that she may have some doxie in her as well as terrier.
Dolly loves to explore the fenced yard where she likes to hunt for bunnies and chase bugs. She loves to go for walks and for car rides. She gets along well her canine foster brother and sister, who are both about her size. She’s a big fan of chew toys and likes to play. She did fine with the July fireworks and doesn’t mind going out in the rain (or snow for that matter). Her most favorite thing is to be close to you getting a tummy rub.
Dolly may not have been treated well in her past. If I use a harsh voice, she falls to her belly and tries to disappear. But if I talk sweet to her, she will come right to me. I always try to talk sweet to her because she deserves to be loved and safe for the rest of her life.
Meet Dolly, a sweet little Alabama transplant who loves the snow. Dolly is a favorite of her foster moms in Alabama and Wisconsin and will quickly steal your heart too!
Dolly is lively and curious but will also spend hours at your side cuddling. She loves attention and is very friendly meeting new people. She’ll crawl right into your lap and give you kisses. She loves spending time exploring her fenced yard and going for walks. She does tend to pull a little when she first goes out because there is just so much to explore. She hasn’t minded the rain or storms.
Dolly is very well-behaved. She’s learned new things in her foster home and will happily learn for treats. Dolly loves treats! She is house-trained and tells you if she needs to go out, but has had an occasional slip.
Dolly currently sleeps with her foster mom, but as long as she’s near you, she’s happy. She has a terrier nose so she does bark but she’s working on controlling her excitement. She’s just a happy girl and will be a great addition to your family!

Our dogs are located in foster homes throughout the state. We do not have a facility. Adopters must be 24 years old.We can not adopt to families with children under the age of six. We also only adopt in WI, IL, and MN. Most of our dogs are strays, so the breed is our best guess.
