We now have cats and kittens at the new PetCo at the Highlands that are available for adoption!!!!
The Ohio County Animal Shelter was built in September, 1998. We are managed and operated as an open-admission county facility by The Ohio County Commission. Our state-of-the-art facility houses approximately 35 dogs and 30 cats that are available for adoption. Our phone number is 304-547-1013. Adoption Policy
We provide TLC for stray and surrendered cats and dogs. Incoming animals are made available for adoption based on temperament and health. Our adoption fee is $80.00. This includes treatment for internal parasites (as needed) for all animals. For dogs/puppies: one or more sets of DHLPP, and the Bordatella (kennel cough) vaccine, for cats/kittens: one or more sets of the FVRCP Vaccine. The adoption fee also includes a $51 voucher redeemable at most local veterinarian offices to help with the cost of spaying/neutering the animal you adopt. You also take the pet of your choice home the same day you choose him or her!!! Payments may be made ONLY with CASH!!
