Our Mission
Our mission at Hooves and Paws of my Heart Rescue is to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome horses and dogs in need, providing them with compassionate care, medical attention, and a safe haven. We are dedicated to giving every animal a second chance by promoting responsible pet ownership, raising community awareness, and fostering loving connections between animals and people. Through our commitment, we strive to create brighter futures and lasting bonds for the horses and dogs that come through our doors.
Adoption Policy
Our adoption policies are designed to ensure the best possible match between our rescued horses and dogs and their future families. Each potential adopter is carefully screened through an application process that includes reference checks, home visits, and interviews to help us understand the adopter’s lifestyle and experience with animals. We provide full disclosure about each pet’s background, health, and temperament to ensure adopters are well-informed. All pets are spayed or neutered, up-to-date on vaccinations, and have received any necessary veterinary care prior to adoption. We encourage ongoing communication and support to help both the pet and the adopter adjust and thrive together, and we always prioritize the lifelong well-being of every animal in our care.
