Fetch Wisconsin Rescue

PO Box 930572

Our Mission

Fetch’s mission is to rehome and rehabilitate at-risk dogs. We’ve learned that rehabilitation is at the heart of dog rescue. We have built our behavioral resources over the last two years and have placed a focus on education and support for our fosters and adopters. We strive to help our dogs become confident, balanced dogs and for our volunteers to be confident, assertive pack leaders.

Fetch is entirely volunteer run - volunteers foster and transport dogs, they coordinate fundraising events and donate their time to concession stand shifts. From home visits to web design, our volunteers bring their skills, expertise and passion to support Fetch. Because of their hard work, we reached 100 adoptions just shy of our first birthday and we are on track to hit 1,500 adoptions this summer!

Adoption Policy

Our adoption team will begin the application approval process by reaching out to the references you listed in your application form.

Upon approval of your application, Fetch will conduct a Home Visit at your residence. The home visit is an interview to determine what type of dog would be suited best for your environment. Depending on the availability of our volunteers and your location it might take a few weeks to find someone to complete your home visit.

Upon approval of your home visit, your application will be sent to the foster families of the dogs that you are interested in. We process applications in the order that they come in, based on the best match for the dog. The foster home for each dog you are interested in will review your application and home visit form to determine if you are the right match for their foster dog.

If the foster family thinks you would be a match, you will be contacted to set up a meet & greet with the foster home and dog. We'll keep you informed of your application status after your application and home visits are approved.

Regardless of the outcome of the meet & greet, we ask both foster and adopters wait 24 hours before making the decision to adopt. This allows time for reflection for both you and the foster home to determine if it's the right fit.
