Virginia Paws for Pits

Virginia Paws for Pits is a 501(c)3 nonprofit rescue organization located in the Shenandoah Valley that strives to find safe, loving, forever homes for unwanted, abused, neglected, and abandoned dogs often classified as “Pit Bulls”.  Since we have started, we have placed over three hundred dogs in responsible homes. Our mission is not only to rescue as many as we can, but to promote spaying and neutering within the community.  We also aim to educate the public on the misconceptions associated with the breed and stress the importance of responsible pet ownership.
