The Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center opened on Sept.1, 2011 to house stray and unwanted animals in Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.
We are a municiple shelter that is run by Augusta, Staunton and Waynesboro. For Animal Control services, please contact the locality in which you reside.
We are an "open-admission" shelter which means that no animal in need is ever turned away. We take in all strays and animals that are released by their owners. Stray animals are held for a mandatory holding period to give their owners time to find them.
If you have a lost or missing pet, please check the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center website on a regular basis. Go to http://svasc.net/she
