Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center
Our Mission
The Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center opened on Sept.1, 2011 to house stray and unwanted animals in Augusta County and the Cities of Staunton and Waynesboro.
We are a municiple shelter that is run by Augusta, Staunton and Waynesboro. For Animal Control services, please contact the locality in which you reside.
We are an "open-admission" shelter which means that no animal in need is ever turned away. We take in all strays and animals that are released by their owners. Stray animals are held for a mandatory holding period to give their owners time to find them.Â
If you have a lost or missing pet, please check the Shenandoah Valley Animal Services Center website on a regular basis. Go to http://svasc.net
