Our Mission
Cumberland Animal Control and Shelter is committed to serving and protecting the public by enforcing state and local animal-centered ordinances while educating our community on responsible ownership and proper animal husbandry.
We are dedicated to advocating for and providing compassionate, humane care to stray, unwanted, and abandoned animals, practicing this care in real time to increase their adoptability and opportunities for successful placement into permanent, loving homes
Adoption Policy
Cumberland Animal Control does not currently require an Adoption Fee at this time. This is subject to change. At this time, Cumberland Animal Control requires Adopters to fill out an Adoption Application swearing to no prior Animal Cruelty or Inadequate Care violations. Once approved, Adopters must sign and comply to our 90-Day Sterilization Contract.
