Our Mission
Cavies and Canines Animal Rescue is a PACFA licensed non-profit guinea pig rescue in Colorado. The rescue was founded in 2016 and we have been in Colorado since 2018. Our founder Natalie’s passion for guinea pigs goes back to 1995! In 2019, Alyssa joined the team after starting her guinea pig journey as a foster. We are 100% foster home-based, meaning the guinea pigs in our rescue live with families like you until their forever home comes along. Our services include adoptions, education, rehoming assistance, nail trims, health checks, boarding, parasite treatment, and bonding assistance. Our guinea pigs are quarantined before adoption and undergo a health and behavior evaluation before they are put up for adoption. Females are put on a 10 week pregnancy watch. Cavies and Canines Animal Rescue will also provide free nail trims and health checks for all adopters.
