A Taste Of Heaven Sanctuary (ATOH) was founded in Charles City, Virginia in 2012.  ATOH  is a small 501(c)3 not-for-profit sanctuary whose primary mission is to assist cats and dogs in Charles City County, Virginia and the Charles City County Snimal Shelter. We courtesy post animals available for adoption at the Charles City County Animal Shelter, VA. Adoption Process is simple. If you see a cat or dog on this page that interests you, email us for more information and how to obtain an Adoption Application. Depending on the adopters application, a home visit may be required prior to visiting the requested animal.  Applications and Adoptions are limited to residents of Virginia. After review of your application (and home visit if applicable) we make arrangements for you to meet the cat or dog.  If all goes well, adoption is approved and you can take your new family member home.  Follow-up communications are made to ensure everyone is happy.
