Safe Haven Animal Rescue-East Texas

SHARET is an animal rescue organization in Wood County Texas whose mission is to reduce the re-population of unwanted dogs and cats, and animal cruelty of neglected and abandoned animals through spaying and neutering. The number of animals that need help are estimated at 3,500 dogs and many thousand feral cats, concentrating on low-income households.  Animal rescues are accomplished and paid for by volunteers that have a heart for animals, often working with the local Sheriff’s department to pick up animals; provide veterinary care (shots, spaying/neutering, parasites), and return to owners or a rescue facility
