DFW Collie Rescue was founded in 2005, but collie rescue had been happening a long time before 2005. Carolyn Edgmon , the “collie rescue lady” has been rescuing collies since 2000 and has found homes for over 300 collies that were abandoned, discarded, or turned into an animal shelter.
DF Collie Rescue is dedicated to improving the quality of life for collies in the Texas and Oklahoma area by providing caring, responsible temporary housing for owner relinquished, unwanted, abandoned and abused collies. Collies in rescue receive veterinary care as well as love, a warm bed and big yards to exercise and play.
