Our Mission

At K9 Kindreds Rescue, Inc, we are dedicated to providing love, safety, and a fresh start for the most vulnerable—pregnant dogs, nursing mothers, their puppies, and those just beginning life. While our hearts remain open to dogs of all ages and backgrounds, we are especially committed to nurturing new beginnings by offering expectant and nursing moms a secure space to heal, give birth, and raise their litters with dignity and care. Through compassionate foster homes, thoughtful placements, and ongoing support, we strive to create a future where every dog—no matter how small or how new—is valued, protected, and truly home.

Adoption Policy

1. When someone expresses interest in adoption, we kindly provide them with an application to begin the process. 2. After receiving the completed application, we reach out to the personal and veterinary references to learn more about the potential adopter and their care history. 3. Next, we schedule a virtual home tour to ensure the environment is a safe and loving space for one of our dogs. 4. We then arrange a video call (such as FaceTime) to connect more personally—talking about the dog they're drawn to, their home life, and the meaningful reasons behind their desire to adopt. 5. For families who are local, once the application is approved, we invite them to meet the dog in person to see if there’s a natural connection. 6. We offer a two-week trial period so both the dog and the adopter have time to adjust and ensure the match feels right on both sides. 7. If at any point the adopter feels it’s not the right fit, we ask that the dog be returned to our care so we can continue supporting them on their journey to a forever home.
