Friends of Rescue Animals

Friends of Rescue Animals (FRAs) is a 100% volunteer-powered nonprofit dedicated to helping homeless pets find loving homes faster. Since 2004, we've partnered with municipal animal shelters to provide lifesaving programs, volunteer support, and adoption services that give more pets a second chance. Today, we proudly support the municipal shelters in Rowlett, Garland, Richardson, Sachse, and Wylie while operating a foster-based cat rescue program. Our adoptable cats can be met at our PetSmart Cat Adoption Centers in Rowlett, Rockwall, and Wylie. Whether a cat is cared for in a foster home or comes directly from one of our shelter partners, every cat receives medical care, socialization, and daily attention from our dedicated volunteers. We work closely with our shelter partners to ensure each cat is healthy, well cared for, and ready to become a beloved member of a new family.
