Our Mission
Minterland Rescue provides a safe haven for stray, abandoned, and neglected cats and dogs, offering them the care, compassion, and rehabilitation they deserve. We are dedicated to finding loving, forever homes for every kitten, puppy, cat, and dog that comes through our doors. With a focus on community outreach, education, and fostering a deep bond between animals and their families, Minterland strives to create a future where all animals are treated with kindness and respect. Together, we can make a difference, one rescued life at a time.
Adoption Policy
Potential adopters first fill out an adoption application form. This form collects information about the adopter's home including rent vs own, the number of current pets in the home, and other standard elements of pet adoption forms. Renters must provide contact information for the landlord or property management company, and must also provide written permission to have the animal reside in their home.
Adopters must provide personal references from individuals attesting to their ability to care for the animal, and where possible, one of the references should come from a veterinary professional. Kittens are adopted in pairs, with exceptions for animals which must be individually placed on the advice of a veterinarian, or for homes which have a younger cat or cats (6 months to 2 years of age) to provide companionship for the kitten.
Our Minter Babies have had a rough start in life, and for that reason, we require all our adopters to go through this process to ensure that these kitties and pups are placed in the best home possible.
