Lone Star Aussie Rescue

The mission of Lone Star Aussie Rescue is to help displaced Australian Shepherds (Aussies) primarily in Texas through rescue, rehoming, and adoption, with special focus on senior Aussies in need. We are a 501(c)(3) nonprofit rescue group helping displaced or homeless Aussies in need from animal shelter, humane organizations, strays, and if owners are no longer willing or able to properly care for their Aussie. We will rescue, foster, and evaluate each Aussie accepted in to determine the best fit permanent home for that dog. All rescued Aussies will be provided any necessary veterinary care to give them the best possible quality of life, including being brought up to date on routine vaccinations, spayed or neutered, microchipped, tested and treated for heartworm disease and other internal parasites. We will share knowledge about breed specific characteristics, proper care, and special needs of Australian Shepherds in an attempt to prevent future displacements of Aussies.
