Whiskers and Tails
Our Mission
Our mission is to advocate for animals in need, including those at risk of euthanasia at area shelters, by providing compassionate care, promoting adoption and supporting responsible pet ownership. We are committed to educating the public on responsible pet care, as well as promoting the importance of spay/neuter for companion animals. Our efforts also include providing foster homes and facilitating the placement of animals in loving, permanent homes.
Adoption Policy
Step 1:
Search our website and check out all the dogs and cats currently available for adoption.
Animal profiles are updated in real-time. As soon as an animal is adopted, their profile is removed from the website.
Step 2:
Visit our adoption center to meet prospective pets – no appointment needed!
During your visit, you will meet the pet(s) you are interested in. A staff member will answer your questions and make suggestions about pets that might be the right fit for you. We will review important information, including all medical and behavioral information.
Step 3:
Select your pet and complete the adoption process. In most cases, you can take home your new pet that day!
For cat adoptions, please bring a carrier for your cat to travel home with you.
Your adoption packet will include your pet’s paperwork, medical records, microchip information, resources and training tips.
