The Cat's Meow Rescue
Our Mission
The Cat's Meow Rescue (TCMR, Inc.) is a 501c3 non-profit rescue comprised of a group of cat advocates that have come together to save cats & kittens from Northeast Texas (kill) shelters. Our dedicated team of fosters and rescuers work hard to give these cats a second chance. We provide a secure, temporary home for our rescues and offer all the necessary care and vetting for the cats/kittens for as long as it takes until we are able to find them permanent, loving homes. To TCMR, each life is precious and we take every step necessary to ensure that our rescues are given every opportunity to live happy, healthy lives - no matter how rocky their road has been in the past.
Adoption Policy
At TCMR, we do our best to help families find the right kitty, as well as make sure our kitties are going to a home that is right for them. We are very happy to talk with potential adopters to help them select a new kitty that will be the purrfect addition to the family.
We have an adoption application and adoption agreement that must be completed and approved. Once approved, we set up a meet and greet with the family and the kitty(s) of interest so they can get to know the cats and make sure they find just what they are looking for.
All of our cats and kittens are spayed or neutered, tested for feline leukemia/FIV, have received feline distemper and rabies vaccinations, deworming and flea treatment. The adoption also comes with 30 days of free pet insurance and each kitty is microchipped.
