East Texas Hoof and Paw Animal Rescue

Our Mission

East Texas Hoof and Paw Animal Rescue is a 501c3 nonprofit animal rescue in Polk County, TX. The rescue is foster-based, which means there is no facility - the animals all reside in foster homes until adoption. The rescue is ALWAYS seeking new foster homes both in the Texas and Iowa locations. Email easttxhoofandpawrescue@yahoo.com if interested in fostering.
The founder of the rescue is originally from the Cedar Rapids, Iowa area and moved to Texas in early 2022. She had no idea of the stray and abandoned dog crisis, so quickly started a rescue to help the community. ETHAP makes frequent trips back to Iowa for adoption events as well as to bring dogs to foster homes in Iowa where they await adoptions.
