Our Mission
Before adopting a dog or cat, we require an approved pre-adoption application, an interview, a home check, and a signed adoption contract. Â The adoption fee is $200 for adult dogs, $250 for puppies, and $125 for cats and kittens.
The 'fees' are actually donations which are used to pay health-related expenses and boarding for other pets still in foster care. All of our animals are spayed or neutered, current on shots, microchipped, de-wormed and dogs are tested and treated for heartworms and cats are tested for feline leukemia/FIV.
First step is to complete the pre-adoption application which can be found on our website at: www.pawsinthecity.org. Â
Once we receive your pre-adoption application, we will contact you for a phone interview and continue the adoption process from there.Â
