Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission

Dallas, TX

Our Mission

The Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission (DFAC) was created in 2015 in response to seeing horrific situations on Dowdy Ferry Road in Southeast Dallas that was being ignored by the City of Dallas. Dallas animal advocate Jeremy Boss and his crew have found hundreds of abused, tortured and ultimately murdered dogs thrown in garbage bags and tossed on the side of the road on and near Dowdy Ferry Road. This section of Dowdy Ferry Road has become an illegal dumping ground for people’s trash and sadly dogs and other animals alive or dead.

  The Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission

Although animals have natural and instinct ways of communication, they do not possess the ability to speak for themselves and voice their pain when dealing with abusive behavior from people. Nonetheless, there are people who speak up for these helpless animals and who become voices for the voiceless. The Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission (DFAC) emerged out of a pursuit to fight for justice and stop those who abuse, torture and kill animals. DFAC inspires to gain support from the city and community, in order to take action and make the voices of the voiceless heard...…It's about them...the animals....their pain and suffering will be heard.....

ABOUT US

The Dowdy Ferry Animal Commission (DFAC) was created in 2015 in response to seeing horrific situations on Dowdy Ferry Road in Southeast Dallas that was being ignored by the City of Dallas. This section of Dowdy Ferry Road has become an illegal dumping ground for people’s trash and sadly dogs and other animals alive or dead.
The DFAC crew has taken a firm stand against the gruesome dumping of dogs from dog fighting, animal abuse and a suspected animal serial killer or killers. The problem at Dowdy Ferry Road is unprecedented, and Jeremy and a crew of heroic rescuers are fighting for answers. A group unlike any other, the DFAC crew are boots on the ground 911 rescue responders, recovery investigators, and enormous activists when it comes to ensuring the dogs of Dallas have a fair chance for survival and a better quality of life.
DFAC has also made serious strides in leading the City of Dallas to create and enforce stricter codes and laws to step-up accountability for irresponsible dog owners, animal abusers and killers. While working alongside Dallas’s animal cruelty unit, DFAC is committed to save and give voice to the animals of Dallas, catch those who abuse or kill these animals, and deliver justice to the animals who experienced abuse and/or perish in the hands of their abuser/killer.
Join us as we go into the field to respond, rescue, and recover the animals of Dowdy Ferry Road and surrounding areas. Let’s give these helpless animals a voice, a loving-home, and a fair chance to survive… and for those that don’t… we will deliver justice
