Our Mission

At Big Love Rescue, our mission is simple: we save the lives of unwanted, abused, and abandoned animals by giving them a second chance. We take in dogs from overcrowded shelters and desperate situations, provide them with the medical care and training they need, and prepare them to become cherished members of loving families. We’re committed to being a voice for the voiceless, not only through rescue and rehabilitation, but by educating our community on responsible pet ownership and the importance of spaying and neutering. Every life matters, and we’re here to make sure no dog is forgotten.

Adoption Policy

All adoptions through Big Love Rescue require a completed application, a vet check, a home check, and a finalized adoption contract. We do not operate on a first-come, first-served basis — instead, we match each dog with the home that best fits their unique needs. To apply, please complete our adoption application at www.bigloverescue.org or use the link below. Once your application is approved, we’ll schedule a meet-and-greet. Please note: we are a foster-based rescue, not a shelter. All of our dogs live in individual foster homes, so we do not have a facility where you can stop by to meet them. *Out-of-State Adoptions* A transportation fee of $300 is required in addition to the adoption fee. This fee covers the cost of professional transport and the USDA-required health certificate for interstate travel. Please note: Dogs are adopted into their forever homes before transport. In-person meetings are not possible, but we’re happy to arrange FaceTime, Zoom, and phone calls with the foster family so you can get to know your future pet.
