South Texas Tails
Our Mission
At South Texas Tails we have a passion for dogs of all sizes, ages, and breeds. Sadly, many dogs have never known a loving family or a healthy life, and some have even been physically abused or abandoned. We strive to show them that not all humans want to harm them because no animal should live in fear. We feel a strong sense of duty to save these dogs from a life of neglect and show them a better future.
Fosters spend some time with each dog individually, working on manners and basic commands, so that when the right family comes, our dogs are ready for their forever homes!
Every winter South Texas Tails provides hay and dog houses to families in need whose dogs must live outdoors. With this program we, educate these families about proper health and care for their dogs.
Adoption Policy
Fill out an adoption application
Once approved
Schedule meet and greet (home visit)
Plan overnight stay for 3 days
Sign adoption agreement.
Pay adoption fee.
Foster to adopt for two weeks.
Give vetting paperwork. And transfer microchip.
