Our Mission

Welcome to Animal Rescue of Crosby County on! We are a 501(c)(3) animal rescue organization that primarily rescues dogs from the Crosby County area.  We have a passion for all animals in need!

Our mission is to support the Crosby County community in promoting responsible pet ownership and animal welfare, as well as providing assistance for basic animal care, education, and a pet pantry to benefit the residents of the county.

Our facility can hold approximately 30-35 dogs and oftentimes we are completely full. We strive to continue to make improvements at our facility to make the time a dog spends there as comfortable and safe as possible.

We are always looking for more volunteers and foster homes to help with our mission of saving as many animals as possible. Please contact us with any feedback or questions.

Adoption Policy

If you would like to adopt a pet from ARCC, we encourage you to contact us so we can set up a time for you to meet the pet of your choice and get acquainted. Bringing home a new pet is a big decision and we want to make sure that the best decision is made for both you and the pet you choose.

Your adoption fee covers only a small portion of the vet care, spay/ neuter fees, vaccines, food, caretaking, transporting, and maintenance of the animal prior to adoption.

The adoption fee is $200 for dogs and $65 for cats. Your future pet is vaccinated for rabies and other communicable animal diseases, wormed, spayed/neutered, and microchipped, however we advise that you take your new pet to your preferred veterinarian once you have adopted him or her to be sure to keep the immunity up to date and to test for internal parasites, heartworm, and other conditions that need to be monitored throughout your pet's lifetime.
