Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas (MSRNT) is a group of people who volunteer to rescue and secure caring, permanent homes for miniature schnauzers in North Texas and surrounding areas. Schnauzers entering the rescue program may come from abusive surroundings or from owners who have neglected them. Other dogs picked up by animal control officers can also become candidates for rescue.
Additionally, some rescue program dogs are donated to the organization by individual owners no longer capable of caring for the animal. Regardless of their backgrounds, all rescued animals are cared for equally and placed in carefully selected foster homes to await adoption.
All of our adoptable minis have been given a wellness exam, spayed or neutered, given annual shots, tested for heartworms and treated if necessary, tested and treated for other parasites, provided necessary dental care, and micro chipped.
Miniature Schnauzer Rescue of North Texas is delighted that you want to "Opt to Adopt"!
All adopters must complete an application that provides information used by MSRNT to thoroughly screen all prospective owners. This ensures that every dog will go to an appropriate home that meets our adoption criteria. Adopted animals must be kept current on vaccines and heartworm preventive. They must not be chained or tied to trees or fences or kept in garages, ect. They must be housedogs- not exclusive yard dogs. If a new owner is unable to keep an adopted animal, the dog must be returned to MSRNT – it cannot be sold, traded or disposed of in any way.
Please completely fill out then submit your ADOPTION APPLICATION. Our Applications Coordinator will contact you soon after submission. Please be patient. We are a small all volunteer group.
A non-refundable adoption donation of $300 to MSRNT helps defray a portion of the medical expenses,
