Our Mission
It is the mission of the Breckenridge Animal Shelter to adhere to the animal welfare industry's best, and most humane practices for animal healthcare and shelter management. We aim to protect our community's public safety through the enforcement of city animal ordinances and educate community members on responsible pet ownership.
Adoption Policy
Adopters interested in a dog will need to call 254-559-2211 and ask for animal control. Animal control will answer any questions, and if local can set up an appointment to meet the dog. If not local, animal control can send any additional pictures or videos requested. Once the decision is made to adopt the dog a contract will be signed by the new adopter and any fees will need to be paid.
